MY READER BOOK TOUR!: 100 books from authors around the world!

When I told Ozzy who later told her brother Olise who is one of my best friends that I was embarking on the challenging yet awe-inspiring journey of reading 100 books from authors around the world, he told me ‘you have energy’. I do.

I admit that this is going to last way past a year (probably two) but everytime I think about the woman I will be after reading all the amazing literature, how much I will known about the different cultures around the world and how much of a better writer I wouldve become by that time, I’m completely sold on the idea.

So, about two weeks ago, I drew up a reading list; ten books each from the seven continents (okay, I lie… I completely overlooked antartica and swapped it with more African and Indian authors) plus thirty books from recommendations I plucked out of my friend’s DMs making a total of 100 novels.

Since I won’t be posting any op-eds on this blog, I’ve decided to document my thoughts on the books I read when I’m done reading them. The first book on the list is Here Comes the Sun by Nicole Dennis-Benn (recommended by Ese).

If you’d like to join me on this journey, please hit the comment section. I’m going to need a little help with buying some of the books and we could trade!

Until next time!

  1. Just saw this. Have been on mine for quite a while now. Though not exactly what you are doing – 10 books from all seven continents. Rather, I have been on a hunt for sci-fi – from China to Japan to Africa and to America. Would have loved, though, to part of your journey. Guess it’s late now, plus we are both probably waist deep into whatever book journey we started.
