LIFE UPDATES: Freelancing, Christmas plans & More.

Hello! So, I know I haven’t made a personal post here in quite some time now (and I apologise for that).Ever since I wrapped up my reading for this year, I’ve had a lot of time on my hands to engage in other activities/passions. For that reason, blogging had to take a back seat. The important thing is that I’m back now!! And I’m here to update you on what’s been happening these few weeks. Here goes:

  • The Strike.

It’s been ten months. ASUU is still on strike. Most of us have given up hope of resuming this year.I’ve been doing the best I can with regards to school work, but I will admit that I’ve been a bit lazy the past few months.

  • On my writing.

With a little encouragement from some friends (and Twitter), I started writing short fiction again. I’ve brushed up on a few of my old stories and I’m currently in the process of sending them off for submissions. It’s going to be raining acceptance letters this December (I hope). If you’re interested in my fiction, you can and *should* read my latest short story “2005” on Medium.

  • Freelancing on UpWork.

I’m freelancing guys!I joined UpWork officially in November. It took a lot for me to make the decision to monetize my writing. The work get as e be.I’ve accepted freelance jobs in the past but they weren’t anything official. Just some under the table business.Anyway, if you need help with article writing, ghost writing, copywriting, editing and proofreading, I am your girl.

  • New Hobbies.

I’ve taken up an interest in Chess. It’s my new obsession. I play a game at least every morning and then during the spaces within my day.I’ve also picked up Spanish again. I’m currently learning the language with with the aid of the book La Ciudad y Los Perros by Mario Vargas Llosa.

  • Christmas plans!!

My family plans to spend Christmas in the village this year. We haven’t been since 2014.I’m looking forward to meeting a friend who will also be around at the time. I haven’t seen him in a year!!Anyway, that’s about all I’ve been up to since the last time. I hope you are all doing well, and thank you for reading the blog today. 💓
